Meets every Wednesday at 9:30 am, September through April, at Harbor Lanes (on Jefferson, between 10-11 Mile). The league is open to all and has several openings. Substitute players are needed and welcomed.
This club plans bi-weekly golf outings on Tuesdays at area golf courses.
Golf commences at 8:00 am every Thursday, May to September, at Cedar Glen (25 Mile off 1-94). The season starts with a luncheon in April. Members of this club cover a wide range of ages and abilities. All are Welcome.
The Ski Club is open to all members, both skiers and non-skiers. The Ski Club makes a three-day trip north each February for skiing (downhill and cross country), snow shoeing, shopping, socializing and sledding.
The Sea Serpents are a group of men who gather on Tuesday evenings from the beginning of September through the end of April. They play water Basketball and cards.
Rod & Gun Club
Outdoor sports such as trap shooting and fishing tournaments are sponsored to this club which is open to all DYC Members. Other activities include indoor pistol range shooting. The Rod & Gun Club also sponsors a "Wild Game Dinner" in the winter months.
Handball & Racquetball Club
“Hit the courts with the Handball & Racquetball Club! Players of all levels are cordially invited to play. We foster a friendly, competitive atmosphere that welcomes everyone from the novice to advanced player. Want to learn the game? Want to meet new friends? Whether you’re into a leisurely game or an intense match we’re the place for you. We meet every Tuesday at 7PM on the courts up in the DYC Tower.
Participate in tennis the way you want it. Our schedules are so busy that it is hard to just get out and relax. In tennis, we want members to feel they can drop in and hit some tennis balls, socialize with friends, or improve their game by taking tennis lessons or clinics. If you're the competitive type and want a challenge, come and play on our tennis ladder or tennis team. Come and have a great summer with the group.
This is both an athletic and a boating activity. Members who want to explore the waters around our island are welcome to join this group as they paddle their kayaks.
Not associated with any athletic club within the DYC, and open to all adult members, is a fitness center with the latest equipment.
