Youth Tennis

The DYC Youth Tennis Program is run by a full-time professional coach.  It offers programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels.

Youth and Teen Programs

Lessons age 4-7 (Little Tennis)
Each two week session includes a 1 hour lesson, 3 days per week (M-W-F) Children will have fun learning basic movement and tennis skills through game playing
Lessons age 8-11 (Youth Tennis)
Each two week session includes a 1 hour lesson, 3 days per week (M-W-F) Student will be taught basic strokes and serve techniques.
The objective of the class is to have fun while learning how to play tennis

Teen Social Tennis
An enjoyable social team practice activity focused on further development of consistency, accuracy & mobility in strokes, footwork & attitude needed to be successful playing recreational tennis.
11/2 hr (3 days a week) of instruction, drills, & games
Tennis Basics will be taught
Fun tennis challenges among the group will be arranged
Pot Luck party at end of each session.

Travel Competitive Junior Tennis Team 
An intensive tennis practice focused on further development of tennis skills and competitive singles play for players from 12 to 17 years old. Students will participate in competitive matches to enhance their tennis skills.
This is a selective program. Students will need to try out for this program.
Daily sessions of instruction, drills & practice
Preparing players for successful school team participation.
Matches with other teams to expose students to competitive play.
